Carnivore bacon cheeseburger pie (Print Version)

Smoky bacon and beef combined with cheddar and eggs for a filling, golden-baked dish.

# What You'll Need:

→ Meats

01 - 1 lb ground beef
02 - 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

→ Dairy

03 - 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
04 - 1/4 cup heavy cream
05 - butter or reserved bacon grease, for greasing

→ Eggs

06 - 4 large eggs

→ Seasonings

07 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
08 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
09 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish with butter or reserved bacon grease.
02 - In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if using. Drain excess fat while retaining some for moisture.
03 - Spread the cooked ground beef evenly in the greased pie dish. Top with crumbled bacon, then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the bacon layer.
04 - In a small bowl, whisk together eggs and heavy cream until fully combined to create a custard-like binder.
05 - Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients in the pie dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until the top is golden and the center is set but still moist.
06 - Remove from oven and allow the pie to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving warm.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Letting the pie rest before slicing helps maintain clean, well-defined slices.
02 - Toast garlic powder lightly with beef to deepen flavor without overpowering.
03 - Use thick-cut bacon when possible for best texture and flavor.
