Golden apple fries tossed with warm spices and a sweet coating, made light and crisp in the air fryer for a fast dessert.

# What You'll Need:

→ Apples

01 - 2 large Granny Smith apples, sliced into 1/2-inch sticks

→ Dry Coating

02 - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
03 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
04 - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
05 - 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
06 - 1/3 cup powdered sugar, divided

→ Other

07 - Nonstick cooking oil spray

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Wash and dry apples thoroughly. Peel if a softer texture is preferred, or leave the peel on for added nutrition. Slice apples lengthwise into 1/2-inch-thick sticks, ensuring uniformity for even cooking.
02 - Combine flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and half of the powdered sugar in a shallow bowl. Whisk until evenly blended.
03 - Lightly toss apple sticks in the flour-spice mixture until every surface is thoroughly coated.
04 - Preheat the air fryer to 380°F for 3 minutes. Generously spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil spray to prevent sticking.
05 - Arrange coated apple sticks in a single layer in the preheated basket, working in batches if necessary. Lightly mist the tops with more oil spray for increased crispness. Air fry at 380°F for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through to ensure even browning. Cook until golden and crisp.
06 - Immediately after air frying, toss warm apple fries with the remaining powdered sugar. Serve at once, optionally paired with caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For extra crunch, dip apple sticks in beaten egg before coating with the dry mixture.
02 - Keep a close watch in the final minutes as air fryer models may vary in heat output.
03 - Toss fries in powdered sugar while hot for best adherence.
04 - Leaving the skin on boosts fiber content and adds rustic texture.
