Maid Rite Beef Sliders (Print Version)

Savory beef and cheese sliders on soft Hawaiian rolls with tangy pickles and a buttery baked finish.

# What You'll Need:

→ Beef Mixture

01 - 1 lb ground beef (80-85% lean)
02 - 1/4 cup small onion, minced
03 - 1/4 cup water
04 - 1 tsp beef bouillon powder or paste
05 - 2 tbsp brown sugar
06 - 1 tbsp white vinegar
07 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

→ Assembly

08 - 12 King’s Hawaiian rolls
09 - 6 slices American cheese, halved
10 - 12 dill pickle chips

→ Topping

11 - 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
12 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
13 - 1 tbsp brown sugar
14 - 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and minced onion, breaking up the beef into very small pieces. Cook until beef is browned and onion softens completely, about 7 to 10 minutes.
02 - Drain excess fat from the skillet. Stir in beef bouillon, water, brown sugar, white vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix thoroughly, reduce heat to low, and let simmer until most liquid evaporates and filling remains juicy, approximately 5 to 7 minutes.
03 - Using a serrated knife, slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping the tops connected as one piece and the bottoms as another. Place bottom halves in a large baking dish.
04 - Evenly spread the beef mixture over the bottom halves of the rolls. Top with halved slices of American cheese and place one dill pickle chip on each slider.
05 - In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard until combined. Set aside.
06 - Replace roll tops and gently press down. Brush the entire top surface with the butter mixture. Cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake until cheese is melted and tops are lightly golden, about 2 to 3 minutes more.
07 - Slice into individual sliders and serve warm.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For best results, spread beef mixture evenly to edges and do not skip brushing tops with butter sauce to ensure golden crust and rich flavor.
02 - Store leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator up to 3 days; reheat covered in oven at 300°F for 10 minutes or microwave in short intervals.
