05 - 8 slices smoked bacon (standard or center cut)
06 - 4 fresh pineapple rings (about 1/2 inch thick, or use canned pineapple slices rinsed and dried)

→ Assembly

07 - 4 brioche buns
08 - Optional: lettuce leaves, sliced cheddar cheese, sliced avocado, creamy coleslaw

→ For Baking

09 - toothpicks

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top for elevated cooking.
02 - In a large bowl, combine ground beef, 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce, salt, and pepper. Gently mix just until evenly combined. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each into a patty about 3 1/2 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick.
03 - Lay 2 bacon slices in a crisscross pattern on parchment paper. Set a formed beef patty in the center and top with 1 pineapple ring. Fold each end of the bacon over the pineapple and patty, securing the bundle with a toothpick pushed through the center.
04 - Arrange all bacon-wrapped patties on the prepared wire rack. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and brush the tops of the patties with remaining barbecue sauce.
05 - Return burgers to the oven and bake an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the patties reaches 160°F and bacon is crisp.
06 - Let burgers rest for 5 minutes to retain juices. If desired, toast brioche buns. Remove toothpicks from burgers, then place the patties on buns. Add any preferred toppings such as lettuce, cheese, avocado, or coleslaw before serving.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Allow burgers to rest before serving to maintain maximum juiciness.
02 - Use a wire rack to ensure bacon crisps evenly and excess fat drains away.
03 - For best results, avoid overmixing the ground beef.
