Tender spaghetti tossed with garlicky tomato sauce and plump shrimp for a vibrant, flavorful meal.

# What You'll Need:

→ Pasta

01 - 8.8 ounces spaghetti
02 - Salt, to taste (for pasta water and sauce)

→ Seafood

03 - 10.5 ounces peeled and deveined shrimp
04 - Pinch of paprika (for shrimp seasoning)

→ Sauce

05 - 1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)
06 - 2 tablespoons tomato paste
07 - 1 teaspoon paprika
08 - 1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
09 - 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
10 - 1/4 cup reserved pasta water
11 - 4 to 5 cloves garlic, minced
12 - 1 tablespoon olive oil (extra virgin preferred)
13 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add spaghetti and cook until just al dente, stirring occasionally. Taste a minute before package time for perfect texture. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water before draining.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer, season with a pinch of salt and paprika. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque, shrimp curls. Remove promptly to avoid overcooking.
03 - Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic to the skillet and stir continuously for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add diced tomatoes and tomato paste, stir to combine. Let simmer to thicken. Season with black pepper, paprika, salt, and sugar if desired. Add reserved pasta water to loosen and scrape browned bits from the pan.
04 - Add drained spaghetti directly into the pan with sauce. Toss thoroughly to coat each strand in garlic tomato flavors. Stir in butter if using until sauce is glossy.
05 - Return cooked shrimp to the pan and gently fold through just until warmed. Serve hot with an extra dusting of freshly cracked black pepper.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Reserve pasta water to help the sauce adhere to noodles and achieve a silky texture.
02 - Avoid overcooking shrimp to maintain tender, juicy texture.
03 - Taste sauce before serving and adjust seasoning to balance acidity and sweetness.
04 - Leftovers keep well in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. Reheat gently, adding a splash of water or olive oil if needed.
