Dried Beef Cheese Blend (Print Version)

A creamy, savory blend of dried beef, cream cheese, green onions, and optional bacon bits for rich flavor.

# What You'll Need:

→ Base

01 - 8 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened

→ Protein

02 - 3 ounces thinly sliced dried beef, finely chopped

→ Produce

03 - 2 medium green onions, chopped, plus extra for garnish

→ Condiments & Seasonings

04 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
05 - 1/4 teaspoon onion salt
06 - 1 1/4 teaspoons monosodium glutamate (MSG), optional

→ Toppings (optional)

07 - 1/3 cup real bacon bits or chopped nuts

# Steps to Follow:

01 - In a medium mixing bowl, add cream cheese, chopped dried beef, and chopped green onions. Stir thoroughly until evenly mixed and a cohesive texture forms.
02 - Add Worcestershire sauce, onion salt, and if desired, MSG. Mix carefully until the mixture is smooth and all flavors are uniformly distributed.
03 - Form the mixture into a single large ball or divide into smaller portions as preferred. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm the shape and meld flavors.
04 - Just prior to serving, gently roll the cheese ball(s) in bacon bits or chopped nuts to coat the exterior. Garnish with additional chopped green onions to enhance appearance and flavor.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Chilling the mixture for at least 30 minutes improves texture and allows flavors to blend fully.
02 - For a milder onion flavor, lightly toast green onions in a dry pan before adding.
03 - Substitute bacon bits with chopped nuts for a different crunchy texture.
04 - Store tightly wrapped in plastic wrap or sealed container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
