Juicy beef patties with roasted cabbage and melted cheese baked to golden perfection.

# What You'll Need:

→ Vegetables

01 - 1 small firm cabbage head, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
02 - 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced

→ Meat

04 - 450 grams ground beef or ground turkey

→ Seasonings

05 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
06 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
07 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
08 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

→ Binders (optional)

09 - 1 large egg

→ Toppings

10 - 60 grams shredded cheddar cheese

→ Oils

11 - 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit ensuring it reaches temperature before baking.
02 - Brush both sides of the 1/2-inch cabbage rounds evenly with olive oil and arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer.
03 - In a large bowl, mix ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and egg if using. Handle gently until just combined.
04 - Scoop the meat mixture onto each cabbage slice, pressing gently to form uniform patties that cover the cabbage evenly.
05 - Bake the assembled patties on the prepared baking sheet for 25 minutes until meat is cooked through and cabbage is tender with slight caramelization.
06 - Remove from oven, sprinkle shredded cheddar evenly over each patty, then broil for 3 to 5 minutes until cheese is melted and golden. Monitor closely to avoid burning.
07 - Garnish with fresh parsley or herbs as desired. Serve hot with mustard or preferred sauces.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Chill the cabbage prior to slicing for firmer, uniform rounds. Use a sharp knife to minimize bruising. Broil cheese carefully to prevent burning.
